Switch search

My 125 special is going to end up with two rear mounted lucas spots on the legshields like on some AF S type and supertune machines.
I have been pestering Wayne “Max” Bygraves, a friend and Lambretta anorak for info on how to wire them up properly. Max keeps promising me a drawing explaining what I have to do but the other day he said if I gave him my switch he would modify it and rewire it for me. Can’t say fairer than that!
I will report back with what Max did, could be of interest to anyone wanting to run some lucas spots.

So I had to hit the garage to dig the switch out. First of all I had to thaw the lock out as it has been snowing here on and off over the last few weeks. I found the switch surprisingly quickly!

Forks Pt2

In my entry of May 28th 2005 I talked about getting forks straightened.
I was down in Leicester on a course a few weeks ago so I dropped 7 sets of forks of at Grand Prix scooters for them to check on their jig.

They turned round all seven forks very quickly, some just needed a check and one set need 90 minutes of work!

It will be a while before any of the forks get build so I won’t know for sure if it is money well spent but I am sure it is!

You can get in touch with Grand Prix scooters via http://www.grandprixscooters.co.uk/

Next step with the forks is to get damper brackets welded on them all then they can be put away until needed.
