getting on with it!

The nicer weather has inspired to try and get out in the shed a bit more.

I've been doing some tinkering with the flywheel for my autisa engine project, basically it doesn't need fins so I have been drilling off the fins and the GP boss as I have to convert it to LI type to suit the crank I have got.
I need to get it lightened a good bit then I will get it balanced.
I also need to modify the mag housing to make it look neater (it won't have a cowl on it or certainly not a normal looking one).

Whilst working on the flywheel I decided to move my wooden workbench into the garage.
The idea was to make the small brick built shed into a cosy workspace but it's got a low ceiling and always feels a bit damp.

So the bench is moved. I stood a spare bit of 8 foot by 3 foot chipboard up against the wall behind the bench and fixed it there with some strong screws. Just got to get some nails then I can mount various gaskets and tools on there in a handy way.

I want to get some music set up in there. Got a choice between rigging up an old hi-fi or getting an ipod docking station.
Richer sounds are doing a good one at a very good price but I think I prefer the sounds through a proper hifi.

I am still jumping from project to project with the net effect of not making much progress but once I get the garage a bit tidier I should be able to get on more.
