The never ending scooter project

Not posted for a while. Been busy with work and family. There are now
several large boxes of records in the garage so it's really full.
Just got some workbench/shelving to go down one side of the garage.
The records can then go on the shelves and I will end up with some
useful space. Hoping to do some moving around at the weekend.
WHEN it is all sorted out the garage will be much tidier and I will be
near my ultimate aim of being able to nip down and do a quick job or
two.

I had a moment of clarity a few months ago when I wondered if I would
ever build all my scooters. I posed the question on the LCGB chat
board, the responses varied from "just have one", to "have a few, one
for X, one for Y and one for Z", to "Keep them all, if you get rid of
any you'll regret it".

So as it stands I am keeping them all.

I really need to decide what I want out of scootering (the hobby, not
the magazine). With a young family doing more than a couple of rallies
is out of the question. So I am really left with having a scooter for
just going for a razz round now and then, maybe ride to work on it now
and then (140 mile round trip). So that is the plan.

Can't make any progress until everything is tidy so I'd better stop
blogging and get on with it!!
